AgriFutures Insect Industry Program of Research
Led by the University of Adelaide and supported by AgriFutures Australia through its Emerging Industries program, a new $2 million program of research is set to unlock the potential of Australia’s insect industry by addressing critical barriers to growth.
The research program is guided by the Australian Insect RD&E Plan, in consultation with producers through the Insect Protein Association of Australia, to support the long-term growth and viability of the Australian insect industry.

AgriFutures RD&E Plan 2023-2028
The Australian Insect Industry RD&E Plan 2023-2028 was developed in close consultation with the Insect Protein Association of Australia and identified five RD&E themes. Three of the five themes were selected for the Program of Research. Click the link below to view the RD&E plan 2023-2028.
